SAGE Project Updates

12th of April 2023: Interviews with Armed Forces personnel investigating personal experiences of gambling begin.

 

27th March 2023: The SAGE survey goes live with the survey link being made accessible to every serving member of the Armed Forces of the UK.

 

10th of January 2023: After weeks of development and piloting with experts in the fields of Armed Forces research and survey research, the SAGE survey gains ethical approval from Swansea University and is ready for rollout. A start date of 27th of March is agreed with Defence Communications. 

 

16th November 2022: A Steering and Advisory Group of clinicians, armed forces personnel, academics, PPI representatives and charity workers representing MoD health and welfare services and departments, academic institutions, charities, and governmental bodies agrees to help guide the project.

 

7th November 2022: Date of commencement of service evaluation assistant contract working 35 hours per week on the SAGE project (see 'Team').

19th July 2022: Funding for the SAGE service evaluation is agreed between Professor Simon Dymond of Swansea University, Professor Matt Fossey of Anglia Ruskin University, former Army Major, author, speaker and founder of RecoveryTwo Justyn Larcombe, and Greo (Gambling Research Exchange Ontario).
